help for newbie
help me on my fc3s s5 engine...
i just installed the haltech ps1000 with patch loom kit on my car because i want to get rid of the airflow forever...
cos my last afm is dead anyway and it frustating driving my car with a broken afm
the engine start very smooth and idle is very good at 900-1000 rpm
i read the afr meter in my exhaust tip with Zeitronix ZT-1 and it reads 10.9-11.4
i havent change or tune it.... but when my eng temp is about to normal approximately 80'c i turn off my engine... and try to start it again...
it wont start....
it start well with the old ecu and dead afm even if the engine is hot....
please do help

read the owner's manual for the PS1k, specifically the water temp correction map and cranking maps. it's long and drawn out explaining how to tune, and we're not paid to do so so either do the homework and tinker with it while saving your original map or take it to a nearby rotary tuner, keyword "rotary" tuner.
likely your hot cranking maps are either too lean or your coolant temp sensor is dead, dying or has a wiring issue. the 500 rpm map also plays a part but if it starts just fine when cold i wouldn't dick with it.

To be honest, if you don't know, you should find someone local with Haltech experience. At the very least, head over to the Haltech website and read their manuals on the ECU and basic tuning. That will get you familiar with the process and the steps needed to make basic adjustments.
