Help my car is runing rich and after doesnt start

Hello Evreyone,

I hope some of you guys can give me some advises. I have bought a 1992 Model FD3S My car is Japanese Spec imported directly from Japan.
I have also imported complete rebuild modified engine with street porting and Special Apex seals but because i had received the engine alone i had to take evreything out from the old engine and install on to the new engine and now i am afraid that there is some mistake that i can not find The car first started i worked some hours after car didnt start because spark plugs get black and there is too much fuel smelling i clean sparks installed again and the car gets started the rev on idle is not stable. I removed ecu no diffrence i removed map sensor no diffrence i removed oxygen sensor again no diffrence there is only one black box missing on my car about vaccum hoses i think they call the vaccum chamber or somthing is on top of the engine does this box make any diffrence ? Why this car is making like this ? and the car gets very hot is this normal ? evreything is new on my engine has to run 2000km they said with 3000rpm Please evreyone try to help me out thank you.

I am not an FD guy, but it sounds like the vacuum line may have been left off of the fuel pressure regulator, causing it to raise fuel pressure to a ridiculous level.

You are down a slippery slope though. Running a street ported engine will require a standalone ECU to be reliable.
