Hey everyone thanks in advance for the help. So i have an 82 fb rx7 with a few problems that i dont quite know how to fix. First problem is with the choke ill add a picture so you all know what i mean but there is this black box on the inside of the car the old choke cable ran through but i cant figure out how to set it up with my new cable. Second problem the car will run but will stall out if it tries to idle so i have to constantly be pressing the gas to get it to run i was told by a friend who has more experince that a screw on my throtle (ill attach another pic) was too loose and i needed to go get a new one so my car would start to idel and last problem is more of a minor one but there is a hole in one of the big tubes i think its the air one connected to my carburetor has a giant hole and i cant find the exact ones online to buy. Thanks in again the one i need the most help on is the first 1 thr other two i was wondering if those could be solutions to my problem once again thank you for helping me out i appreciate very much.

sorry, can't really be of any help on the choke as i don't use one. but i will post a link to the FSM and wiring diagrams tho: Foxed.ca - Mazda RX-7 Manuals
1) Never saw a black box opened up before. If replacing just the cable I think it is a specific mazda part. It's not the generic cables you can buy at a parts store. Call MazdaTrix and see if the cable is still available.
The black box has electro-magnets and is wired to the temp sensor on the back/top of the water pump. When the engine is warm enough it releases the choke and springs on the carb open it up for normal driving.
2)That barrel-shaped nut goes on the teeter-totter like KC REPU said. It needs to be unscrewed (adjusted) out farther to about this position (bottom left of pic) -
But it is not your idle speed adjuster. Your idle speed adjusting screw is on the drivers' side of carb, towards bottom. It looks like a long barrel that has a tension spring where it goes into carb. Lookie here...
This carb is getting rebuilt and is pretty stripped down. Yours will have more stuff in the way, but it's there. Turning it in will raise idle.
3) As said, that heat tube let's the intake get some warm air off the exhaust manifold when the car is warming up. Take it to any Napa, Autozone etc and they'll fix you up. It's not necessary though and isn't causing your idle issues. It just helps the car warm up better when its cold.
