Hello everyone! Some steering related questions

Hey everyone. I am now the proud owner of a FB 1985 rx7 gsl 12A engine. It has manual steering.
The body is in phenomenal condition with essentially no rust. 129,000 KM on the odometer, two owners.

The only issue with the car is the steering. I knew going into the purchase there was significant play and was able to negotiate the cost down in the scenario that I have to conduct major work.

With that said, I am hoping that the slop and play can be taken out via the three adjustment bolts.

When I got the vehicle safetied the other day this was the only safety issue they found. Other minor issues they found include a leak in the front driver side strut and some worn out bushings. Anyways, the focus of this post is the steering.

Is this the go-to procedure to follow for adjustment?

I’ll start with adjustments. If it is not successful, I will have further questions, including “mtheoryinc” rack and pinion by conversion kit
