i have an rx7 91 na convertible. I overheat it and loss compression so i boought a used fc. i put it on my rx7 and it starts but stops inmediately. if i acelerate it, it doesn´t stop. i´ve checked and realize that the secondary injectors aren´t working so i´ve checked all the grounds and are good. checked the manual and did all it says. main relay checked, main fuse, etc. i´ve checked and have no signal in the injector´s connector. already checked above 3500rpm too. I think the electric OMP isn´t working cause the oil in the OMP lines is moving TOO slow. i hope if someone could help me out. Im new here and is my first post. thanks

 

List everything that was swapped over. Is the new engine from an '89-'91 (S5) also?

If the engine starts up, then dies, the secondary injectors aren't going to have any effect. On startup, and under 3800 rpm, only the primary injectors are used.

Some things that come to mind would be the idle speed/throttle adjustment, AFM & fuel pump resistor\relay. All of these could have an effect.

 

I swapped an 86' engine(only the engine). I didn't realized it was an 86 until i got it out(didn't knew were kind of different). I'm using all my S5 have. I'll check the idle speed/throttle adj., AFM and fuel pump resistor\relay. Thanks.

 

When i start the engine and rev. it doesn´t die. if i don´t rev, it dies. pump relay, fuse, throttle, ok. any other idea might be? thanks.
