TX have issue with car starting

the most common cause of a click is a dirty bat cable at the bat, most common is the positve side. if the lights go out or dim when you try to start it then there is a really good chance that the cable is not well connected.

it could be the battery cables like hcubirth said but if you clean cables up and it still doesnt work get your battery load tested.. if the battery should be at approx 12.7v before you load test and shouldnt drop below 10.5v when you load test... if the battery tests fine then go to the charging system your alternator should be puttin out approx 14.5vs when car is running anything below 13.5 alternator should be replaced

thanks everyone i will start there. but i am pretty sure that it is something more. my lights work fine as well as the radio. battery is less than one year old. but hey it wont hurt to get in there and do some routine maintenance.

Hi, I had a similar issue and it was pretty simple. Is it an automatic? If so, the next time it does it, leave the key on and move the shifter to neutral and then try to start. The switch in the shifter may be slightly out of adjustment. Hope that helps
