Hasn't ran in years, lots of smoke

Hey I'm new here. I've recently acquired 2 rx7 convertible and 89 and 90. The 90 ran and 89 has a wiring issue. Got the 89 going and I'm guessing it hasn't ran in about 4 years. It smokes quite a bit and oil smells like gas. My question is now that I have it going what steps should i take and why is it smoking so much? Could it be because it had been attempted to start so many times causing excess oil in the rotor chanbers? Have a video of it running I will try to post. Thanks

Change the oil and antifreeze and let it sit outside and idle for a bit. Cars that haven't ran in awhile can smoke because you never know whats in the exhaust, or what has covered it from sitting

If it still smokes after running for about a half hour, then worry
