Compression or fuel issue?
Hey guys im having an issue with the car starting after a ride around town. So in the morning when i start up the car before work it starts with no issues, however after ive driven the car to work or another location and try to start it an hour later (maybe more) it wont start. What i have to do is turn the fuel pump kill switch off (previous owner installed a kill switch) press the gas pedal to the floor and crank it, it will fire up for a second and when it does i turn the switch on and everything is fine.....Im thinking its a fuel issue, but I have had the car for a few months and have not had the compression checked so im not too sure.
Also, i have a bunch of green connectors under the hood that are not connected to anything. Anyone have any idea what they are for? I can take pictures if you guys need visuals.

what year of car is this????
and On an FC there are a couple green connectors that are not hooked to anything as they are diagnostic related connectors.

I know my car acted very similar after a flooding it a few times. I changed the plugs and its fired up every time since. whens the last time the plugs have been changed?

I have not had the spark plugs changed sine ive had the car. But i do know they need to be changed. And no i have not had the injectors serviced. Iv only had the car for a few months and im still trying to get around to all these things. All your information is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Where would be a good place to get them serviced? Also, this issue is happening everyday, I use my rx-7 as a daily and if it is flooding constantly is that going to hurt the health of the engine?

Also test your compression. That can be done with an off-the-shelf compression tester from your local auto parts store. There are instructions on how to use it with an Rx7 if you search.

I replaced the spark plugs and the wires and im still having the same issue. The car sputters a bit at idle but runs fine though all RPM ranges, and the engine seems to flood every time i drive the car. Im going to assume its fuel related.
Any suggestions on injector and fuel pump replacement would be appreciated.
Also, Im looking to do a 5 lug conversion on my 86 FC, Can someone point me in the right direction for this? Do i need to get the parts off another FC? If so whats the cost on something like that?
Or is there a conversion kit out here i can just buy for 5 lug?

As far as "fuel" you should by rights change the sock on the pump (it's in the tank..you can access it if you lift the rear carpet and take the shield off the floor,driver's side).
Also the Fuel Filter which is under the car,driver's side near the bend to the firewall...it's tucked in that area.
