i have a 1g but they're pretty much all the same. didn't rebuild it but i did take it apart and cleaned the contacts. u can't actually rebuild them that i know of no replacement parts. u buy the whole switch. taking it apart is fairly easy u just have to be careful and watch for all the springs so they don't all go flying everywhere. and i don't know of any write ups on the subject.

the issue was that they would work on low but not high. and yes they worked fine after that. write ups r best done during the process and since this was done over a yr ago there's no way i could do a write up without going thru it again. besides i don't know how different in design the fc switches r from the fb. same thing goes when i did the mods that i did to an fb tranny to make it work in an rx3. wished i'd done a write up on that too. if u take ur time taking it apart slowly, making sure u make mental notes of where things r so u can put it back together u should be fine. maybe u could also post a "want to buy" thread in the 2nd gen classifieds.

Seems like a fairly simple fix if you are adept at soldering.

this seems to be exactly what I am experiencing with my wipers. I was planning to take it apart and remove the board. But, I like the idea to cut an opening for the relay. Toolmeisterbruce, did you do yours yet? I'm wondering how it turned out. I need to fix my wipers, low-beams, and horn all just to pass inspection.
