NY h.i.d. headlight problems

i had a problem with the burnt out headlight switch wiring harness, fixed that and everything was good. but now my headlights wont go on. sometimes they do outta nowhere. now most of the time they wont work. dont think both bulbs would blow at the same time. will check tomorrow when sun comes up!

Most the time when the harness goes, it takes the light switch with it. Ive read up alot on this and just went through this. I ended up having to replace both my harness and switch.

You tried to pull excessive amperage off the stock light harness.I bet you didn't think that anything would happen.
The old wiring harness can't handle HID's without a relay being put in the middle of the mix.

yea i would go ahead and do what misteryx69 suggested. either splice the wire and put a relay in it or buy a harness suitable for hid headlights

It's usually a good idea to get a relay harness with a fuse; at least you can take that out of the equation when it comes time to troubleshoot.
