88 Vert, refeb. Injectors, still not right
I was having problems with the engine flooing when starting cold. Plug would be fuel fowled. I'd clean them, crank the motor a few times then replace them. It would start right up and run fine after a few min. Of clearing out. So, I had linder fuel injection services referb & backflow my injectors. Installed them & it started right up. Drove it about 40 min, ran great, but didn't want to settle at 750 rpms ( settles around 1100) brought it back to the house, checked to make sure I had no leaks again & took it out to drive it hard for about 20 min. Ran great. As I pulled it into the garage, I heard the coolant boiling & saw it coming out of the overflow. Checked the gauge & it was @ 3/4. (usually just below 1/2) I turned on the heater and had no heat. I shut it down waited for it to stop spewing & to cool. I came back out to add fluid & it wouldn't start. It acted like it did before the inj. Reinstall. But, when I checked the plugs, no sign of flood. Cleaned the plugs anyway & started it right up. I removed the thermostat & found that the former owner hadn't used a gasket, but sealed it with permatex. I cleaned the mating surfaces & re sealed it with the themostat inside the housing. I added coolant & let it run for 1/2 hr w/o a temp rise above 1/2. This morning I decided to check the coolant. I thought it probibly wouldn't start, and for some reason put my batt. Booster on it before cranking. It fired right up. I watched the coolant through the warm up until it started to bubble & I could tell the thermo. Opened. I let it run for 1/2 hr w no incident. Any ideas on any of this?

John

update: I burped the coolant & added fluid, watched for bubbles, none when the engine is cool, unless the filler cap is full to the brim then the is an occasional bubble from the small hose at the filler neck. Car never got to 1/2 temp gauge. If I leave the cap off the coolant level raises and lowers slightly when warm and flows into the block when I raise the rpms from idle. I put the cap on & let it run a half hr with no incident. I let it cool an hour and burped again added coolant & let it run another half hr, no problems.
when I was replacing the injectors, I had the coolant lines around the TB off, I noticed that I kept leaning the upper rad. hose & squeezing coolant out of those lines. Could I have caused enough air to enter the syatem to cause it to boil?
also I have noticed that when the engine is at opp. Temp the upper rad hose seem very swollen compared to cold.. Is this normal?
the car has now had 3 unassisted cold starts w/o a flood since the last time I cleared it & cleaned the plugs. So that's better
