GTUs from '90

I found a roller of a GTUs, It's got no engine or tranny, but everything else is there.

Should I find a 13B or a 20B?

I just approved your Intro and you say you are 15.

The 20b Swap is at least 20 THOUSAND DOLLARS to do it right.
Unless you want to eat Kraft Dinner for 10 years I would just find a 13b and stick it in the car.,
At least you'd get to drive the car and have it paid off before you are Thirty.

Maybe a 13B is in order if I buy the car.

OK, seriously, here is how to decide on whether or not to go with a 20B...

You will never build one to this level for less money than the asking price for this car, and this one was built professionally rather than by a hack like you (sorry, just saying how is). Therefore, buy this car if you want a 20B RX-7. If you can't spend this kind of money, then don't go with a 20B. It's that simple.

Now, as for buying a shell and fixing it up, do you realize that this will cost about 2-3 times more money than just buying a running RX-7? If so, then you will need to decide if it is worth spending $6,000-$9,000 to build a car that is worth $3,000 when you are done with it. I would say no. If the intent is to have a project car, then trust me, a running $3,000 RX-7 will still be a project car that will give you plenty of opportunity to turn wrenches.

Also, you can look around for good deals if you are not rushed. I paid $1,000 for an 88 RX-7 convertible that was running well enough to pass my state's safety and emissions inspections. I had to put another $3,800 into repairs over the years (convertibles tops aren't cheap), but it was running on the street the whole time.
