Gets High On Ether!!!
Hello, I am new to the rotary scene. I have an 87 base without turbo.
When I acquired it the engine was seized up, I was able to find a replacement from a wreaking yard. Once I got the Fuel System cleaned out from the ten year old gas, I was able to get it started with the help of some ether. Problem now is I can't get it started
WITHOUT the ether at all, even when it warmed up. Any ideas why this would be? Thanks in advance as this has been kicking my @$$ for almost a year now.

If the car ran after being started w/ether and continued to run then perhaps the engine is flooded. If the car started w/ether but quickly died out then you need to test the compression.
Update:
Removed my remote starter button I have been using. Used the key to crank it over, and on the third revolution, it started.
ECM wasn't getting the start signal from the key
