KY gauge cluster lighting help!!!

all guages in my fd work,the lcd odometer lights up but goes out when headlight switch is on,air bag defrost etc. work also,but no cluster or ac panel lights?? ac panel works when it wants to so does anyone have any idea on where to start,i pulled cluster an ac controls to make sure all conections were intact an switched around tns relay,thanks chris

This has never happened to me but i see that in the 3rd gen fAQ thread:

There is a thread for odometer repair under the O section:

If that doesn't help, go to Search and click Advanced Search and search the 3rd gen section on 'odometer'

Replace your dimmer switch! its about $150 brand new. I spent days going through the diagram trying to troubleshoot it.
