PA Gasoline with 10% Ethanol

I was wondering if the ethanol now being blended with the gasolines available in our area is harmful to my 1979 RX-7. If so, what can I do about it? Thanks.

It's harmful to all of the old rubber in the fuel line, if anything. Look for cracks or any wet areas or just replace all of the fuel line for safety's sake...it's not going to do anything to the engine, though...you'll just note a loss in mileage per gallon...

Gasoline with ethanol does not affect the rotary engine but does give less gas milage because it burns quicker. I have an 81 rx-7 and use the gas w/ethanol. Also there are a lot of gas stations that don't use ethanol, like Sunoco.

PA Thanks

Thanks for the responses. Sunoco in our area does have the ethanol and is the most convenient to get. I'll look into replacing the fuel lines. I feel much better knowing that it is not hurting the engine. Thanks again.
