My daughter just finished rebuilding the carb in her '79. The Haynes manual says to install a new gasket under the carb but the plastic plate on the manifold has a number of vacuum holes that would be covered. There wasn't one when we pulled the carb off. So, Silly question: Put one in? Put one in but put holes in it? Just bolt it in without?
