new rx7 fc owner

i just bought a 1990 rx7.. the guy told me all it needs is a fuel pump.. but the car has sat a while, i know a good bit bout cars and what not, but not so much the rotory.. any pointers??

Depending on how long it sat, and if fuel stabilizer was used, you could be looking at replacing more than just the pump. Cleaning the injectors and replacing the fuel filter would be good ideas.

also changing the trany fluid and diff fluid would be a good idea and the o2 sensor and the spark plugs(ngk platinum's) and wires would be a good idead as well and flushing the radiator

Well yes, a full tuneup should be done with any new car. New coolant and vacuum lines also need to be on that list.

thanks for the tips... i do already have a fuel filter waiting.. it already has brand new plugs, wires, o2... i just put new belts and hoses, flushed the rad. the tranny and rear on the list already too. i wouldnt even know where to start w/all those vacuum lines tho. and also, could someone tell me what the little plastic thing is on the front side of the throttle?? im guessing the tps.. but idk. i havent got a haynes manual for it yet.
