CA Fuse question (Electronic perhaps)

Hello all,

I'm quite new to my Rx-7 and I should be the third owner of the car. It is a 91 Rx-7 convertible and everything is stock except for some new shocks. I believe the previous owner added a 6-disc CD changer that is mounted near the spare tire.

Do I need to remove the fuse/fuses on my car in order to fix some electronic issues in my car?

My problem is that the seatbelt warning system, alarm system, headrest speakers, and high beams are not working (maybe more). I've consulted the owner's manual and it didn't say anything about fuse removal except to use a specified tool to remove.

Is there also some other things I need to check in order to diagnose the problems I have at hand?

Thanks

If you are looking for continuity with voltage as a reference you will need the fuses in.

I'm pretty sure the fuses are still within their original places. I was wondering if removing the fuses and then putting them back in their places will recirculate the flow of electricity in the car to have the Alarm, seatbelt warning, and whatnot to work again.

unless the fuse contact at the box is corroded and not allowing voltage to flow to the circuit, then Yes it may help.
But if merely taking it out and putting it back in fixes it?.NO.
all those circuits you mentioned are separately fused.

HI beams maybe a bad relay. If you hold the switch to HI will the lights Stay HI?..and then you let go of the switch and it drops back to lo..then it is a bad relay.

By the way when someone gets a car and the previous owner has hacked the wiring it is anyone's guess what he did to it,so the MORE info given is best to get your problem addressed.

I see. I'll have to contact the previous owner to understand what he did - if any- with the electrical in the car.

To answer the high beam question, I don't even get the high beam notification near my speedometer when I pull the lever for the highbeams. The lever only turns on my regular headlights, and as soon as I release the lever, the headlights turn off. It has no effect whatsoever when I pull the lever when my headlights are switched on.
