Fuel system extreme flooding
So had 93 FD at the Track had been running perfect all day. Suddenly engine felt like fuel starve coming out of a corner. Engine continured to stumble until it finally died. Towed off track and could start engine and run it as long as I kept the RPM over 4000 fun getting on trailer. Anyhow engine is dumping so much fuel it is running out the muffler. Really not kidding. I have replaced the injectors, tried a different ECU checked the MAP sensor and currently am trying to see if something is shorted but it does not appear to be shorted. However with the harness disconnected the primary injectors have 12V to black/yellow wire and 0 the the other - looks reasonable. The Secondary injectors have 12V also to the black yellow wire but have just slightly less may 11.7 volts to the trigger wire. Doesn't seem like there should be voltage on both sides of the injector. Am I missing something where to look next.
I thought I would see power on the black/yellow and would be able to see a pulse on the other wire if I turned over the engine

I believe this must be a ground someplace. But I have checked the grounds at the ECU and the they all make it to ground. And for it to suddenly quit indicates some type of failure. I am just unplugging devices and am pretty much down to nothing plugged in and still have + voltage on both sides of the seconday injectors and none of them click when turning over the engine.

Problem was finally discovered. Tire rub at the track rubbed into the wire harness that sits hidden above the fender liner. Got lucky it dumped fuel and killed the engine. It could have easily fried the entire harness. Anyhow it appears that voltage on both sides of the secondary injectors is normal as that is how it now sits. Back to 10-8-10 all is good. Did an oil change to get rid of the fuel. Need to get those coil overs coming to stop that issue. Year is about done now will be ready for next year however

I contacted pineapple and they said the engine should be able to take upto 500WHP. Also said that as long as I had some means to monitor and control the AFR if I could get the stock twins to put out 15psi the motor should be around 380WHP. So I am looking at getting an adaptronics plug in management system along with a plx DC-6 wide band system. And change out the 550 primary injectors to 850 primary and see how close we can get to that before the 99 turbos go past their limit.
As for suspension it is all original except for some mono ***** I had to replace in the rear. I plan on getting some coil overs and dropping it probably 1-1/2". Oh it also has a sport clutch and I had a set of 18X8 volks racing GT-AV wheels that came on the RX8. They fit pretty good on the RX7 but the diameter was perhaps a bit much and it rubbed through the fender liner into the harness,
Car should be at MAM on Friday for fast friday and also Saturday for Boo bash. Ran a 1:48 flat on 93 suspension with 4 year old perelli p-zero hocky pucks.

^Sounds like a good car.
The Fluidyne is a good unit, ~ 50% larger than stock. Even though it's late in the year and cooler temps, when you mentioned track...radiator is one thing that came to mind. Another "nice-to-have" for track are the dual oil coolers from an 'R' model (if you don't already have them). They come up occasionally in the Parts for Sale section. You'll probably want to improve on the stock IC before next season.
FWIW...I think alot of guys run the stock wheels (16X8 +50) with 245/45 'R' compounds. At least that's my plan when/if I try to get back into autox. If you're considering street wheels 17 X 9 +48 fit decently even with slightly lower than stock height. That allows 255/40's, keeping the speedometer close. I've been told that you can do 265's on the rear, but stayed square on mine.
I'll see how my Friday goes. If you don't mind I might stop down. Good excuse for a drive and there aren't too many FD's in the area.
