What do you all run in your 1st gen for Pump and regulator? PSI pump? reg? I have read 8-9PSI pump with 3-4PSI reg?

Thanks again. Now the next question. If the carter puts out say 9 psi and the FPR cuts it to 2-4 why not just purchase a Carter which pushes 3.5-5? Can this negate the use of a FPR? or at least cut un-necassary burnout on the 9psi pump? Thoughts? I found a Carter low pressure pump in-line. It has to be better for my car than the retarded monkey mechanic who toggled an in-line pump. Appears to be no filter. Gotta post pics of the job done by a "professional" mechanic.
