The Power FC for the FC stopped existing for a while now, and only was available for the turbo models.
Many people here have tried megasquirt with nice results. I believe 'aaroncake' actually used it for his 6 port turbo.
Rtek is another solution, but it's just a stock ECU upgrade, so it does have it's limits.
You're best bet would be to check out the Engine Management Forum

Haltech is well worth the money.

If you are dead set on the A'PEXi Power FC, Banzai Racing sells an adapter so that you can use the 93-95 FD version of the Power FC. It would be cheapest to buy a used Power FC here on the forum, but you are sure to get an undamaged unit from Banzai.

Banzai sells the FD3S Power FC for $1,075.00

They sell their S5 adapter kit for $315.00

There are so many EMS options. Read up! And weigh out the pros and cons. If there's something you don't understand, perform a search... If you do not find your answer, post a thread. Good luck!

My car runs a Microtech LT8s.

Haltechs aren't really pricey at all. Price out a Motec. The Haltech Sprint RE is a good basic ECU. If you are DIY type, then the Megasquirt is a good option.

The ECU is a small part of the project though. Keep in mind that if you intend to turbocharge the NA engine, you're going to have to fabricate most of the system. Also the S5 NA compression of 9.7:1 is about the limit of reliability in a forced induction applications.

i understand the compression issuse. i know there's going to be some fabrication involved. iv read and looked into some of the FMS still haven't found the right one for me. money not a problem don't want to have to get another a few years form now for future upgrades.

as far as the n/a motor i want to get it set up and when it blows then just rebuild it because my car runs just fine right now with only 122k on it. not saying this is the best way to go also thought about just buying a T2 and dropping it in.

Not saying that this is necessarily the "best" way to go... But the TII swap would be cheaper. If money is not an issue, you can go either route. You'd also better have a GREAT learning curve. Aaron Cake KNOWS the "turboing an N/A route"...

I don't get it...Money is not a problem but a Haltech is expensive?

What defines the EMS as the "right" one for you? Haltechs have been standard on the RX-7 since the mid 90s. Megasquirt has been used for about 10 years. Microtech has been around about as long as Haltech (though Microtech ECUs are very primitive and I don't recommend them for a street car).

Do that. Just buy a TII engine and drivetrain, prep it, rebuild it, do whatever needs to be done. Then put aside a week to perform the swap.
