If you download the Field Service Manual from the forum FAQ, you'll have all the info.

sorry for that it was late. but what i was trying to say is does the fuel from the gas tank flow into the filter then to the pump. that's how it was set up when i got the car but when i put the new pump on i couldn't get gas to flow to the motor

yes, filter is before the pump. keeps trash out of the pump.

i recently got a motor running in a vehicle that had been sitting a while. turned the key and the pump would run but no gas would flow. i had no clue haha but the guys that were helping me got an air gun and a rag. put the air gun into the opening of the petrol spout and jammed the rag around it like a seal then pressurised the gas tank with the air while pump was running and it picked up sweet started pumping and never missed a beat since. must have had an airlock or something. might work for you. good luck

Yeah thats the spot! The tank will pressurise n should push some gas thru n if there is an air lock it should push it out. Good luck!
