CA FMIC for FD3s

I have a front mount i have recently installed as well as a aluminum 3 core radiator. the install went good but i hooked back up my A/C system since i live in California. the car is only going to be a few times a month driver and thats it. I dont have much room in between the A/C condensor and the radiator. Its a Greddy kit so the radiator and the condensor are both vertical. would any of you guys ditch the A/C or keep it for the extra space and flow to the radiator.

Do you really want to not have AC? I doubt you are going to see much benefit.

If it's that warm I'd be more concerned about the radiator getting enough flow in traffic on a hot day. Leaving the AC in makes that a little worse. FMICs are not as robust in street and track duty compared to stock mounts or v-mounts, which is why they're usually used only in drag setups.

Agreed. I have the GReddy V-Spec FMIC, and I removed all the a/c parts under the hood. This made the front of my car 20 lbs lighter with more of the actual engine exposed to ambient air. I also got another 1 hp from not having to drive the a/c motor

Since my Koyo sits behind the intercooler, I installed a manual fan switch. I also have a vented hood.
