Filter of a sort 1985 rx-7 gsl 12a
so i bought this rx7 from a guy for 350 hasnt ran in 10 years we got it to turn over but we cant get gas to it opened the tank up and WOW it was bad im trying to figure out what the part is that sits inside the gas tank or if anyone knows where i can buy a new on mine is full of gunk

If the tank is really bad I would replace it, the fuel pump, fuel filter, and rebuild the carb. But before I did all that I would spray some carb cleaner down the carb and see if it will run for a few seconds. If it doesnt then you also have ignition problems or possibly low compression in the engine...

If you have already tried to start it, you have done major damage.
