1. since i got my car the oil pressure gauge has not worked. was looking to be pointed in the right direction.

2. my idle is high(1200-16000) just did plugs and wires i thought it might help but not its still the same but does not jump around so much. any help would be great

 

Make sure the wire is connected to the sender. The sender is basically underneath the oil filter. It's a roundish thing about 1.5" in diameter.

Check for vacuum leaks.
Adjust the TPS.
Make sure the throttle isn't physically stuck.

 

i am new to this car but can you physically adjust the length of the throttle cable? some people set it high to avoid stalling.
