a few question about 87 turbo 2

i might be buying a 1987 turbo 2 and want to know a few things....how much boost do they run stock and how much boost can they on average handle, i heard before that the rotary engines average about 100,000 miles before they need to be rebuilt is this true....thanks

Stock boost is ~5.5psi max. With the stock fuel system, do not run more than about 8-9 psi.

Rotaries typically last a heck of lot longer than 100k miles. That's just B.S. that people with no knowledge of the engine spread around. 200k-250k miles is not uncommon.

how bad is it if a rotary engine is not taken care of as good as it should be because im not really sure about the history of this car....just a random question do any of the rx7 guys use megasquirt i drive a volkswagen now and that what most of the VW guys use

Turbo rotaries don't last much longer than 100k, but you can get more if you are really on top of things. I have seen non turbos go to 200k+, especially once they start burning a lot of oil.
