Greetings,

First and foremost, hello...

I recently purchased a one owner, low milage, bone stock 93. I feel it was a very good find...

I do have a few questions though:

1) I sometimes notice a slight studder or hesitation when passing from small to large turbo, any ideas?
2) I notice I need to add a splash of coolant about every other week, is this normal?
3) Do you have a dealers that work with your community? I am also an Mr2 guy and on that board we have a couple of Toyota dealerships that give us good pricing on parts.

Please feel free to contact me, mr2terror@yahoo.com

Thank you.

V/R,
Steven

1) Is it happening at 3k rpm, under light/medium acceleration? If so, normal. The only guaranteed fix in that case is a standalone ECU. If it's happening at other RPM it could be a boost, fuel, or ignition issue.

2) No. Might be coolant seals beginning to leak. Also keep a sharp eye out for coolant leaks dripping from the engine. Minor coolant leaks are harbingers of burst hoses, and burst hoses destroy engines. Replace the original hoses if you have any doubt - they are both old and brittle.

3) Malloy Mazda, woodbridge VA. Ask for the parts manager named Ray Crowe. Pricing is excellent, his knowledge of FD parts is downright frightening. Contact info is in the FAQ; use the telephone number.
