FD Ignition options & comparability
Hi,
I have 2002 FD, rebuilt motor with street port running stock turbos, full 3" exhaust, Apexi pods and cooler.
Keeping it pretty tame atm but just had a microtech ECU put in it and now am facing an issue with ignition coils which currently are the factory coils.
So two part question:
1. Are series 6 coils compatible with series 8? (can get a hold of a cheap set if they will do the job for now)
2. Would it be better to save a little bit more and upgrade the ignition system, if so whats recommended? I will be looking to go single turbo down the track, when I have the cash.
Thanks,
