Hey all finally got a/c working in my fd, but one problem remains. It only kicks the compressor on when blower is set to 1. If i sit there for 5 minutes switching it back and forth sometimes i can get it to come on with fan speed 4. Any thoughts?

 

Do you have a PFC?

Check the resistor pack, and the wires leading to the resistor that controls the blower motor speed.

I do have pfc for past 4 years but this is the first time ac is working since owning the car. So never knew it was associated with the pfc. Ty for the link I will give that a try. I was kind of upset after converting whole system, firewall forward to r134a components only to find ac doesn't want to kick on.
