fc help!!
im in the market for one... been reading alot about blown apex seals. came up on two deals, one gtu needing a rebuild for 700 and another gtu with "blown apex seals" for 600.. now i read up on the seals saying that it might just be flooded... and replacing the seals entitles new housing irons etc..easily like 2k.. you guys think its worth it?
See this link for engine rebuild pricing for various levels of worn and broken parts. How lucky do you feel? Is it worth it to take a chance on a $7K engine rebuild, plus thousands of dollars for other potential problems that could be wrong with the car? How do you know the transmission and clutch work if it doesn't run? Do you think you can accurately assess the condition of the driveshaft, halfshafts, and differential if the car doesn't run? How about the shocks, springs, mounts, and bushings?

I spent $1,000 on my last RX-7, and it has been running for 4 years now. Don't you think it would be better to pay a few hundred dollars more for a running car that you can take to a mechanic for an inspection?

you guys have a point, i was just thinking of slowwwwly pulling apart the 13b and seeing how it works, but if going for a running or somewhat running fc would be a better and less costly path.. then ill go searching. thanks guys
