FB Choke, High Idle, and Loss of Power Problems
Car: 1981 RX-7, stock except RB exhaust
Seemingly unrelated issues happened all at the same exact time about 3 days ago:
1. Choke works but only manually, will not stay pulled out (this happened for a while about 10 years ago but fixed itself and has been working fine for the last few years until now).
2. High idle around 1200-1300 rpm and very rough (was very smooth and steady at 850 rpm)
3. Serious loss of power at all rpm's and will not go above 4000 rpm until I drive a few miles, then it starts to drive almost normally for about five minutes before becoming so bad I'm almost ready to call for a tow truck.
My first thought was that this was a fuel delivery issue and that maybe the fuel filter was clogged. New filter did not help. I'm thinking about replacing the stock fuel pump that is now 30 years old.
I've read the thread about the choke but am too technically challanged to fix this problem but a quarter works pretty well to hold out the choke.
No luck finding a vacuum leak but I'm still looking. The engine is fairly new, the carb was rebuilt 6 months ago, and the car has been running great for the past few months with a lot of power and very smooth idle.
Is there one thing that could break that would cause all three of these problems to occur at the same time? Should I go ahead and upgrade the fuel pump and see if this helps the loss of power problem? Any suggestions as to where to start would be appreciated.

Problem Solved
Bad shutter value. Used the "easy solution" method per the following thread to fix:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ht=vacuum+leak
5 minute fix, too bad it took me 3 days to figure it out. Car runs great and all three problems solved at no cost.
Thanks again to rx7club!
