fan wiring kit
i'm thinking about buying this from jegs
http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/10560/10002/-1
anybody ever use one of these kits before? it's a decent enough price and it comes with everything i would need.. just might have to get a different sized adapter for the thermoswitch..
anyways, is this the one okay? turns on at 185 degrees F, off at 170 degrees f.. for 180 degree F t-stat.
thanks

It's a basic automotive relay and thermoswitch, so there are many people using a similar setup w/ an e-fan. I'd suggest a higher temperature range, but in my experience these things tend to switch on/off higher than they say they will. I had a 195*/185*F switch that actually switched on at around 200-205*F instead. This was a little higher than I was comfortable with.
As far as mounting the thermoswitch, you'll probably need to drill and tap a hole in your water pump housing. You'll need a 3/8 pipe thread tap. I have a thermosensor mounted in my thermostat cover, but it looks like you have an S5, so that's not an option. You'll have a plastic cover instead of the cast aluminum S4 version.
