There's a lot of exhaust questions so I'll keep this short and sweet

1984 GSL 12a mostly stock
Current system:
Stock manifold to straight pipe to cheap performance muffler

I want to add:
RB header to RB presilencer etc.
OR
RB header to Bonez resonator or cat etc.

It's currently way too loud. The header (better performance!) will make it louder -- but the psilencer or resonator or cat will quiet it down. Will I have a quieter car?

 

Yes, it will be quieter than what you have. The RB system is very quiet, too quiet in my opinion. But it is bullet proof, and will probably outlive you and your car both...
