How much money are you willing to spend is the question? You should see if anyone is upgrading and purchase there leftovers. Even eBay is expensive for a full catback.. it's all on you.

yea my friend has it on his car, i happen to be cheaper than him so i'm running a racing beat header to a cat to a single racing beat muffler, with custom piping between the cat and muffler. it actually sounds very good.

i was planning to just get a single muffler n1 style most likely. and do custom piping. now my question is wat size piping will be the best for performance? im going to stay n/a and with rotarys im told you need to have back pressure. also is it ok to delete the cat and just go straight pipe with a n/a?

with an s5 i believe the ports are opened electronically so you dont really need back pressure i think. i use a 2.5 inch for NA and it sounds and feels great, but a lot of people do 3 inch.

single muffler n1 style? your just gonna go eBay for $30 universal or wha? haha. Atleast get a decent muffler. Get an apexi ;D. Also, what exactly are you guys referring to when talking about 'custom' piping.. re routing or larger 3" piping or so? You want a nice sound for free just take off the cat. Hahah shyt sounds so nice but not too good.

mazdatrix.com
go to www.mazdatrix.com - they have a good selection of mufflers that will last. From my research most rx7's will damage a cheap muffler very quickly. I spent 230 dollars on mine five years ago and it still sounds great and is free flow. It is designed specifically for the 85 gxlse I have. I think they have a tech page on mufflers also. Remember a super cheap free flow muffler may result in less low end power and maybe more highway power.
