Engine WOT Problems
Hi guys and gals.
I have a 13B with a large street port, RB intake and topped with a Holley 600 4bbl with mechanical secondaries. Fuel pressure is 3 lbs and the it's getting enough gas. Been having a problem when going to WOT from part-throttle cruising where the engine cuts off for a few seconds, then picks back up and punches out power. If going from idle to WOT, the engine cuts, fires a few times after a few seconds and then dies. If I close the throttle before it dies, it'll run slow and rough then bring itself back to idle at around 1,250 RPM. I'm thinking the accelerator nozzles are not sized correctly. Maybe they're too large and choking the engine with too much gas? I'm not very familiar with tuning carburetors (I'm still learning) and any other ideas why I'm experiencing this are appreciated. The diaphragms on the distributor are blocked, and I'm not currently in a position to check if there's any fixed advancement.
Thanks

Found a few things.
1. Checked up on my fuel pressure. Little did I know, my regulator was trashed. It sat around 3 PSI while idling, but couldn't control the pressure at all past that and spiked up to 14 PSI when at WOT.
2. Tore the carb apart and noticed some crud blocking one of the air bleeds.
I'll update the thread again once I get everything back together and let y'all know how she runs.
