Engine Swap Problem!!!

hey, i just swapped the engine out of a 1986 rx7 and took the ecu with it, used the same radiator, oil cooler, etc..., and put it in another 1986 rx7 and now my engine overheats. I changed the waterpump just because, did the thermostat and have a fan that runs constantly. Before the swap the motor ran cold. I can run it before it will overheat and the thing pulls hard and runs and sounds mint. Still seems like it has good compression but with this being my first rotary project, Im having trouble figuring out the problem. If someone could help out with some good info that would be awesome. Thank you.

make sure that when you put the coolant in your swap that you got all the air out of your cooling system,That is a Often overlooked Problem.,
it will cause an air pocket and you get overheating from it.
Run the car with the cap off,.let the thermstat open up and start circulating.top up and cap.
go for a ride (short 2 miles or so)then come back and let it sit.
Open the cap up and check when "cold".
If the car seems like it doesn't want to "burp" you can always try to park the car on an incline with the Nose of the car Up.that will help get the air up to the rad area to get Burped out.

Does the car have white smoke coming out the exhaust at all? Theres a chance you may have blown coolant seals but I don't see how if the engine was just installed from a good running car.
