Engine questions.

1st- my CAS(crank angle sensor) speeds up when i turn my wheel all the way right and makes my engine work a little more harder.

2nd- my car runs 40% cold when the heater is on and 60% hot when off. why is this?

3rd- can someone hook me up with a link on how to replace injectors for a s4 and s5 engine.

1) What do you mean the CAS speeds up? The CAS meshes with a gear on the e-shaft, and its rotation will always be relative to engine speed/position.

If your idle speed dips when you crank the wheel over, that's the power steering putting additional load on the engine.

2) The heater core is a small radiator, so it will disperse some heat. Ideally, an S4 should sit around 1/4 of the way up on the gauge, which is approx. 180F. Halfway is around 200F, and that should be the maximum you see on a hot day sitting in traffic. If it's climbing higher than that, you may have cooling system problems.

3) I don't know of any write-ups, but you will need to remove the intake manifold. Replace heater hoses, fuel lines and vacuum lines while you're down there, as well as rubber injector grommets and o-rings.

The idle speed shouldn't really drop when turning the power steering if things are working properly though. Check the BAC valve as well as the ASV.

Properly troubleshoot the cooling system before you decided the rad is bad:

Why do you want to replace the injectors? If they are dirty/old, then most of the time they can be cleaned by an injection shop.

You can't just drop in larger injectors without some way to control them.

It's unclear whether your car is NA or TII. If it's NA, you will never need larger injectors.

Idle control is done by the ECU via the BAC (or ASV on a TII), but I've always seen a little dip in idle speed when turning the wheel in parking lots, etc... It's not a lot, but enough to notice. It did it with a functional BAC in NA form, and it still behaves the same with almost no idle control due to NA wiring with a TII ECU.

And I'll second what Aaron has said about the injectors. If this is an NA engine, there's not much need to change the injectors until about 200+whp. Few NA 13Bs will see that kind of power without extensive porting.
