Most of the stuff sold on eBay is rebranded made in China junk. The resonators are poor quality, the "stainless" used is questionable, and it's all glass packed. In my opinion, they sound terrible and won't last. Also, fitment is often an issue.

Good exhausts cost money, mainly because of material costs. $500 should get you a nice exhaust if you are willing to put in the effort of building it. But spending less then $800 on a whole system and you are going to compromise. Maybe see if someone is selling a used RB system?

If you have a friendly exhaust shop, try something like this:

-eBay downpipe
-fabricate a midpipe using a Vibrant Ultra Quiet 3" resonator (http://www.vibrantperformance.com)
-catback using a fabricated Y pipe and two flow through mufflers (I like the Vibrant stuff)

It will be fairly quiet, long lasting and work well. Add another resonator for OEM silence.

I bought an up pipe from ebay an it was about 3/4 of an inch to short i had to remove the turbo mount to make it fit, then the flange broke around the weld about 6 months later. I bought a down pipe an it was great. So i think its not all junk but the majority is.
