does my 7 have lsd
does my 7 have lsd
i have a 87 rx7 sport model with 5 lug wheel pattern and cant find out if it has lsd
some say only the gxl and turbo II have them but a local racing shop says that if its a 5 lug that it is a easy way to tell that it has a lsd diff, is that true?

If it's the stock rear end, it's an open diff.
We have a standard specs thread with dealer brochures just for this: https://www.rx7club.com/new-member-rx-7-technical-256/specifications-what-did-2ndgen-rx-7-come-options-standard-features-883780/.
In '87, only the GXL and TII models had LSDs. A 5-lug bolt pattern does not necessarily mean you have an LSD. Plenty of NA FCs have 5-lug bolt patterns, but still have open diffs. For instance, all convertibles were this way (5-lug, open diff).
