Ok so I know exactly where it is. What does it look like? Can it be solderd with a normal soder gun? I ask because I've never don't anything like this before

Yes you can use a regular solder gun but it easier to change the cluster. Anyway you need another buzzer to swap so you need to find another cluster.

If you want to keep your speedo for keep the millage, take the other cluster you need to buy and swap your speedo in it. It's just screw in so no need to solder.

I'd argue it's not easier to change the cluster for a 2 minute soldering job. You can use almost any 12V buzzer, but it won't have the same noise as the original FC buzzer.

If you have never soldered before, this may help:

Well I found a speaker but it was white and on the left side of the cluster. I thought it was closer twards the middle. But I saw it without having to take the board off. Is this the correct speaker

need help with buzzer

Hey guys. I drive a 90 vert. My buzzer never worked since I bought the car. I tried to take out the cluster but wasn't sure how to remove the connectors on the back. I wiggled it out far enought to see a little white speaker on the left of the cluster. It was also solderd at 4 points. I wanna know if that's the buzzer. If it is can u buy a replacement fc buzzer or do I have to just buy a universal buzzer? If that isn't it how do you remove the connectors on the back of the cluster.

The little white speaker is the buzzer. I don't know where you can get an exact replacement off hand, but any 12V buzzer will work. Or you can salvage one from another RX-7 cluster.

It may be annoying, but that buzzer is also the low coolant and low oil warning.

Hey everyone I just wanted to say thanks for all your help! I don't know if I could have done it without you guys. And the buzzer I bought from radioshack is very similar to the stock sound and was only 3 dollars. Good stuff. Well thanks again

annoying?

love the buzzer...
embrace the buzzer...
let it cry i need oil! (or try not to let it cry)
let it warn you of impending cooked coolant seals...
let it guide you through tire destroying sideways pavement assaults...

the buzzer is there to prolong your rx7 experience, use it.
