Differential help needed

Need a little help here, no luck with the results I got doing the search. I bought a TII shell several years ago to do a V8 swap. Economy and kids got in the way, had to put everything on hold. Digging it out of mothballs, and discovered my TII is not a TII. Has the TII hood & wheels, but under the rear compartments is a rear seat, checked the vin, 13B, not turbo Trying to find out what all was swapped, hoping for the rear end as well. WITHOUT pulling the rear cover, is there any way to tell the TII rear from the GXL rear? Any identification or external differences? Thanks!

NA Rear has 7 ribs on the diff case and the TII has 11.

By the way,Submit ONE thread please on the subject.
EVERY thread in the New Section is read by staff so make it painless and easier to us by just putting up ONE.
I do not need to read multiple threads. If that happens your thread is just being delayed.
Your loss not mine.

Thanks! Sorry about the double thread, I didn't notice the pop up stating that it had to be reviewed before posting, thought I had hit a wrong button and that was why it hadn't posted, so tried again and then noticed the pop up. I appreciate your help, easy enough way to check.

Thanks man,appreciate it.
Oh!..You would have a hard time popping the COVER..(chuckle!),as there is no rear cover.
It is part of the WHOLE assembly.
The Diff actually comes out the Other way, from the Front.

Extra info.Excerpt from a thread I found on Trans ID:
Any diff will bolt up to any chassis as long as you stay within your model. So if you have a TII, then you need a TII diff. Ditto for NA. Do you have a TII transmission? The TII transmission has a large inspection plate on the bottom while the NA transmission does not.

Wasn't thinking about that, lol, just saw where most people were saying to measure the R&P to tell the difference and I REALLY didn't want to go pulling stuff apart. Not worried about transmission, putting in a 302 stroked to 331 and a TKO 500, wanted to make sure I had a diff to hold up to it. Just checked, NA diff. Guess I'll use it in the Exocet instead. Thanks again for your help, love it when there's an easy way to get the info you need! Appreciate the mod work as well, good to have volunteers to help keep the forum up.
