what do u mean "now has 2 vacuum units"? was the other engine u were running NOT have 2 on it? all rotary dizzys i've ever seen have 2 on them. even the early dual dizzy engines have one each for leading and trailing. just T them together and run them off the same vac source.

OK What I've got in hand - 2 single vac distributors, 2nd vac mount has a 'block off' plate, and linkage provides a 'set' reference point for the 'trailing'?plugs.
In the search for A distributor, have received and rejected as 'Not the right part' 2ea. 2 Vac Distributors WITH attached Ignitors.
The '80 has a 'Ignitor Box' mounted on the fender near the coils. Final determination of the problem was a 'moisture corroded diode' IN the 'Ignitor Box' [simple repair once found.]
Present operation with Trailing Vac vented, would be similar to original Dist with set adv./ret.
However, I'll try the common hose fix and see what transpires.
Thanks.
