A couple random "whats this" questions

hey all, new to rotary engines. I recently picked up an 88 rx7 with a S5 13b that was supposed to need only vacuum and fuel lines. long story short it needs more than that. but I'm creating this thread in hopes that you guys could help me with a couple loose ends

first things first, does this hook up to the large nipple on the back of the multi chamber?
A couple random "whats this" questions-mpt4tgx.jpg
also im not sure what to call where that is coming from, i keep wanting to call it a crank case but ya...

also what does the charcoal canister hook up to?? i have the line going back to the fuel tank hooked up but the line that comes back on the firewall then drops down (behind intake?) by the brake booster is a mystery.

I will probably post a few more questions in the next couple days or so
Any help or pics or links to related threads would be greatly appreciated!

circled pic is the rear iron coolant nipple.

The hose you have in your hand will most likely go to the secondary injector rail.It is Fuel.
..and By the way WARNING!.USE High pressure Fuel line not that crap you got on there, unless you want a FIRE.
There are 2 types of fuel line..low pressure Carb type and HIGH pressure EFI Line.
the stuff cost MORE,so be prepared to spend about 5 bucks a foot.
If the parts store tries to sell yo LOW pressure ,Slap em!
Charcoal cannister hooks up to a line near the oil pedestal.
You can get the Vacuum routing by reading the FSM on www.foxed.ca

the rear iron coolant nipple goes up to the intake manifold. if you deleted the thermowax and BAC like many people do, you can cap that with a piece of hose and a bolt.

Also replace or delete that yellow thing on the end of that fuel rail. its called the Pulsation dampener and many RX7s have caught fire because of them.

Thanks for the heads up. Had yet to research that line but i was really iffy about it. The guys shop where i have the car has a few jetski parts and stuff so i wasn't sure I'd grabbed the correct line.

Good to know I'll be sure to snag that off of there before i get her fired up....no pun intended

Thanks for the extra info guys. I'll keep this thread updated with any more progress or questions.

Little bit of a side note here. Does anyone know where to get little here n there parts?? I need a starter bolt (the long one), a coolant cap and filler neck, and 2 of those plastic spacers that go on the end of the injectors..
the dealership wants $6 for the damn bolt and the cap and filler was $15 more than i had seen it anywhere else (i know, dealer mark-ups)

radiator caps can be found at any autozone or similar. the injector o rings might be available there too. pay 6 for the bolt as its pretty high tensile strength.

NOTE: any more asking for parts will result in the WHOLE thread getting WIPED.
Ask and Buy parts in the Classifieds. That is what the Section is for. This is TECH ONLY.
Thanks STYX (MOD)

Now that 'that' is out of the way..
The bolt can be acquired at Mazda or Mazdatrix's website. They actually have all the trans mount bolts if you happen to lose them in an install.(seen it happen.)Rotary Resurrection is good for stuff like that too(Member on here, rebuilder).

If you are looking at cooling system parts try such as cap and thermostat I HIGHLY suggest that you get OEM.especially the thermostat.
Note the Pressure on the cap (.09 Bar).Putting in a higher rated cap will only keep the pressure IN and that is not good if your cooling system is faulty. It will just pop seals before releasing through the cap..and that means..???...YEP...rebuild time!
