coolant seal

i need a write up of the block seal heard alot about it. pro? con? what do you guys think. i have a 87 gxl but i already have a swap for spring trying to get the most out of this motor before i swap the t2 in.

Yeah, stay away from the block sealants. If it can be fixed with the block sealant, then it can be fixed with the Alumaseal.

If you have coolant being blown out of the radiator, then it will not work.

If you have coolant being shot out the exhaust (white smoke) then it will work.

Due to design differences, it is much more succesful on 12a than 13b engines.

It costs about $4.00 a bottle, one bottle will be enough. Get Alumaseal, not something else. Pour it into the radiator, then allow to idle or go for an easy drive, but make sure the coolant levels do not drop too far while giving the product time to work.

On my 12a, I saw no improvement for the first 15 minutes of idling in the driveway, but after 30 minutes the problem was completely gone.
