Coolant reservoir re-location
Is this an ok idea?
I want to replace the stock coolant reservoir (located under the front right headlight) with a smaller one (24oz) which would be relocated next to the AST. I would like to run my intake into the opening that the stock reservoir lived and pop out the plastic insert in the front bumper.
I have an aftermarket temp gauge and I check my coolant levels once a week.
I read that the coolant expansion volume is roughly 7% of the total system volume.
So 2.3 gallon x .07 = .161 gallon which is about 20oz so in theory a reservoir of 24 oz should suffice.
anyone done this before?
Thanks
