coolant leak

hi all i got a 88 conv. was driving home and noticed it was running hot and a bit of smoke from the hood. opened hood and there was coolant all over the driver side cant find where its coming from. i dont think its the heater hose. if someone can point me in the right direction that would be great

It's most likely the heater hose.

Clean the engine bay, then fill the system up with coolant. Squeeze the upper rad hose and observe where it leaks out.

Could also be the hoses to the BAC/throttle body which run in that area.

Thank you. i hope it is that easy when i looked at me temperature it was high. going to run and get some coolant then i will check it out. thanks again i will let you know how i make out

I'd fill it up with water first,just to be on the cheap side
that is if you don't mind money spewing out of your car,then use coolant!(after you find the leak)

well good to see that it was just heater hose. it blew open on other side of hose clamp at engine. i cut it and reattached it. i will order new hose tomorrow. thank you for help. i sure i be asking for more i am mechanically inclined but dont know much about the car itself.

yea mistersty you dont want to **** off a Walrus...haha
