KS Coolant Buzzer and Parking Break light

i just recently bought a 1990 rx-7 n/a
and the only problem i'm having is the parking break light and 'add coolant' buzzer going off. it doesn't happen everytime i drive the car, just at random.
thanks for reading, and if you need anymore information, i'll tell you as best as i can. it's an awesome car and i already love it more than my old scooby.

Check brake fluid level & coolant level. Parking brake light will come on when brake fluid level is low. Get an owners manual for your car.

I would guess that the coolant buzzer is going off because you have a small amount of air in the system. This is a pretty common problem. With the car cold, squeeze the upper rad hose a few times and then check the coolant level, sometimes that will move the air up the filler neck. You can also pull the sensor out of the top of the rad and see if there is an air pocket there, and you can pull the hose at the back of the throttle body and fill coolant until it runs out of there.

For the brake light, try adding a little brake fluid to the master cylinder, that may be all it needs.

Also make sure that the overflow reservoir is full to the proper line.

Well, start by adding coolant. Sounds like the level is just low enough to slosh away from the sensor. Then find the leak causing the low coolant condition.

The brake light may be low fluid in the master cylinder.

alrighty, i'll check tomorrow about the air in the coolant, and i think i still have some brake fluid leftover to put in if it needs it.

thanks guys, i'll tell you tomorrow if they're off or not.

well it's been a while since i could get on, and i fixed the brakes, [needed fluid, just never had time to check] but now i gotta fix the coolant buzz, but it's most likely going to be the wire spotwelded to the radiator lol. so i'm going to buy a nice new radiator to begin my buildup of the car

Dont' jury rig the thing. Fix it right. The buzzer doesn't go off for no reason.

Just replace the sender and fix the wire.

Would there be another problem with the brake if the light stays on? Perhaps something wrong with the cable?

I have the same problem but I haven't addressed it yet. I'm just wondering.

The brake light is on if the fluid is low, or if the parking brake is engaged.

I guess it's possible for the parking brake switch to fail and stick on, but I've never seen such a thing.

Regardless, if the brake light is on you NEED TO CHECK THE BRAKES.
