Unhappy Convertible Electrical Problem?

I own a 1988 convertible rx7. Only sometimes when I start it up the top won't open, the wipers don't work, and the vent/heat system doesn't work. Most of the time these systems work, but only sometimes they don't. I recently fixed the drain clog with the hood which was flowing water into behind the seats. I'm not sure if that could have affected some electrical problem, but I think it may not have as well because the systems have just not turned on right away in nice weather. Also, all three of the components don't work at the same time. Sometimes if I rev the engine for a while they will turn on. Do you know what is wrong, and what I can do to fix this so that every time I turn my car on they work?

Nevermind. I just found something out. All those systems came on when I turned the key like a millimeter backwards. Very interesting. If anybody could help me out I would like to figure out how to improve that and fix that rx7 quirk.

Sounds like the obvious problem is related to the ignition switch.
