VA Cold Start Issue - 89 FC3S

Hello everyone!

My 1989 FC3S (13bt) has a cold start issue and for the life of me I don't know hot to fix it. I've been to two different mechanics and they both haven't fixed it. The first mechanic gave me a bottle of gum cutter and said it was the engine so I would have to go to a specialist. I went to the specialist and he told me that it was just how the car "runs" since it is so old. Somehow I feel like that answer is complete bullshit.

Since trying to fix this problem, I've replaced the Air Flow Meter, Radiator, Spark Plugs (twice), the Ignition Wire, Starter, New Batter, and Alternator (the latter mechanic informed me yesterday that my alternator is bad so they are going to see if they can replace it for me - again I am very skeptical). The compression on the engine is ~98% and I don't believe that the engine is the problem.

I am very frustrated and feel like every mechanic is taking advantage of me and my car without actually fixing the problem.

Any advice on what I should do? Is it too much to ask to turn the key and the engine starts up?

Any updates? Have you checked the vacuum lines?
