IN cat removeal

I was told if you take of the cat flames will shoot out. i wont straight pipe it but wonder if the cat was off if it might increase power.
Also wondering if anyone knows where or how to get interior door panels recovered.

you may get a couple extra out of it..but the smell of exhaust will now be imbedded in your clothes too.

With any car in general if you take off the cat you'll see a few extra horespower gained, maybe 2 or 3 because the exhaust can flow through your exhaust system faster without interferance. Can't help you with the flames part but you'll feel a lil extra oomph the first couple of times you drive your car. Then you'll get used to it.

Go for a resonated midpipe. I just put one on and it gives a lower, throatier sound. that comes alive when pushed There's no smell and it's very streetable. I got the one Magnaflow one from RX7 Store.

I did not see the model year of model type listed, but one this to keep in mind on the FC is that if you take the Cat off, you need to plumb up something to the auxilary port tube. Other wise they will not open. There is a tube that is back pressure fed at higher rpms to assist in opening your 5/6th ports.

Any upholstery shop can recover your interior door panels. Should be much either depending on what type of material you get it done in.

Correct me if I am wrong but you are right about the hp gain, but the cats are there to help the engine burn the excess fuel that isn't combusted in the last couple phases of power production. So that I don't think you can get around.
